Bronx Botanical Garden + The Living Art of Roberto Burle Marx

I recently made a trip to the Bronx Botanical Garden. I lived in NYC for 30 years and it was my first time going to any botanical garden let alone the one in the Bronx. I happened to get a corporate discount, which meant the entrance was free 99 and they happened to be exhibiting the Brazilian Modern: The Living Art of Roberto Burle Marx.

Robert Burle Marx (1909 – 94) was a Brazilian artist and plant conservationist. He’s most known for designing gardens and public spaces. The Bronx Botanical Garden pays homage to his work with the largest botanical exhibition.

I personally have never been to a living exhibition, but words cannot explain these beautiful living creations and the emotion they evoke.

It is in its final week. Officially ends September 29th. So if you can make it out there, do it. Plus you can see the rest of the grounds.

Tell me what your favorite flower or part of the grounds is.
